Range Training Standards We Require From Protection Specialists

A few seconds on a range say more about a protection specialist than a page of promises. The footage below was filmed during a training day on an outdoor range: ear protection, paper silhouettes, and the same movement repeated until it stops being a decision and becomes a reflex.

We want to be precise about what this is and what it is not. IPS BODYGUARD is a brand of Nexus Exclusive Solutions Limited, Hong Kong. We design and coordinate protection arrangements. We do not run a training academy, we do not employ protection staff, and we do not deploy anyone ourselves. Missions are coordinated by IPS BODYGUARD and delivered by licensed local partners. What a training day like this one represents, for us, is a selection standard.

The standard we ask for

Before a specialist is proposed on a mission we coordinate, we look at documented practice rather than a line on a resume. A current licence in the country of operation. Recent and traceable training, including weapons handling where the assignment is armed and the local law allows it. A medical qualification that has not expired. Experience in the specific environment, because a film festival in Cannes, an industrial site visit in Asia and a family holiday are three different jobs that reward three different reflexes.

What it changes for you

You never have to take our word for a profile. When we present an arrangement, we tell you who does what, under which licence, and why that person fits your context rather than another. Where an assignment calls for armed capability, it is handled only by partners authorised to carry in that jurisdiction, under their own licence and their own insurance. Nothing is improvised on site, because improvisation is exactly what training of this kind is meant to remove.

Tell us your dates, your destinations and the level of exposure you expect, and a member of the team will come back to you with a clear arrangement and a quotation. Lead times depend on the location, the risk level and the scope of the advance work. For a new client, allow 24 to 72 hours as a minimum: the mission starts once the contract is signed and payment has been received. The more time we have, the better we can organise it and the better the service. Existing clients can, depending on the situation, be deployed faster.
